Aja Lund: Confirmation machine
The project OBJECT ME sheds light on passionate collecting, as well as our consumption and production society, where both humans and objects take turns being in focus.
Objects, which sometimes take over our lives and sometimes assist us, are both a threat and an opportunity. We humans are nearly dependent on productive machines. Moreover, we try to make machines produce humanity.
In the depicted devices, function has been set aside in favor of imagination — but then again, isn’t the power and possibility of imagination one of the most essential functions?
