About the artist
Jenni Toivonen (b. 1993) is an artist working in the expanded field of photography. Her practice focuses on themes of interconnectedness, ecology, spirituality, and impermanence, often explored through the human body and the materiality of the earth. Through embodied methods, Toivonen aims to cultivate reciprocity and strengthen her connection to the land and other-than-human realities. Toivonen holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art Photography from Aalto University (2022) and was selected as one of the FUTURES Nordic Talents artists in 2024.
