About the artist
Juha-Pekka Inkinen's works are held in major Finnish art museums and collections. He has photographed many abandoned houses, but also other interiors and material worlds. The central themes of his work are time and the state of society, which all his works in one way or another explore. He strives for images that are dramaturgically convincing and aesthetically coherent, so they can pierce the viewer’s defenses. He has always worked with a camera, but now also creates constructed images. Since 1986, he has held 22 solo exhibitions in Finland and a few abroad. He has published seven books.
