Stanislava Ovchinnikova: Untitled #17 from The Home Will Come Again
The work is part of the series The Home Will Come Again, created between 2022 and 2023. Initially conceived as a visual diary, the series seeks to reveal the distortion of the mundane brought about by the recent experience of exile. Here, domesticity appears foreign, slightly out of reach for both the observer and the photographer, following a rupture in its ritualised performance.
Works from the series were presented in the solo exhibition The Home Will Come Again at Turun Taiteen Talo in 2023.
