About the artist
Essi Varis works multidimensionally in photography, painting, illustration, as well as mask and puppet art. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions featuring photographs, paintings, and puppet art. Through photography, she explores layers of color, light, and shadow, and how the shapes of withered plants can reveal new worlds within them.
