About the artist
Ida Pimenoff (b. 1977, Helsinki) is a Finnish photographic artist and writer. Pimenoff earned her Master of Arts from the University of Art and Design Helsinki (Taideteollinen korkeakoulu) in 2004. She has published three photography books and one novel, and edited an essay collection on motherhood titled Kasvukausia. Key themes in Pimenoff’s work include family relationships, memory, loneliness, and love. Her photographic art has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad since 2000.
