Johannes Romppanen: Lilja

The book is about the photographer’s daughter and third child, Lilja, who has cerebral palsy. In the touching, intimate book, the photographer father opens up their daily life which hospital visits form a part of. The appearance of the book is an essential part of its message. Skillfully realised and wrapped inside gift wrapping paper, the book makes one halt, open the package and take the gift in, page by page. The book offers and eloquent and emotional interpretation of its documentary topic.
