Onni Aaltonen: In Transit – Traveling in North Korea

In Transit is a photographic work and a travelogue about a journey to North Korea at the turn of the year 2016–2017. The book’s black-and-white photographs were taken through the window of a tourist bus during transfers between the country’s official tourist sites. It also includes a travel narrative written by Iisa Aaltonen, along with reflections on the ethical questions raised by traveling in a closed dictatorship known for its human rights violations.
