Dimensions: 42 x 36 cm (K x L)
Chromogenic print

The photograph was exhibited in the show (Mis)Fortunes, which presents analogue photographs that would not have existed without chance or mistakes. The series encourages viewers to appreciate the beauty in randomness and failure.
This is the last photograph the photographer took of their grandparents’ lakeside cottage before it was sold.
The matting is part of the work, so the dimensions include the mat; the actual photographic surface is smaller.
